Less is Better. Minimal Street Scenes by Moisés Rodríguez

Moisés Rodríguez is a photographer from Mexico City. He graduated in "Social Communication" with a specialty in "aesthetics of public spaces" and probably that’s why he always tries to maintain visual appeal based on symmetry, composition and minimalism.

I believe in the phrase "less is more"; I think the simplicity in a photograph can intensify and engage the viewer's imagination so it would be them who build a story based on what they see.

Few things I enjoy as much as taking my camera and going for a walk. I can lose myself for hours without defining a specific course, watching the people walk, wondering: "What they do and where they are going". In a few words: what is their story? Body language speaks and we all can denote our feelings through it. We are the result of the place where we live and photography allows me not only a space for recreation, but of reflection.

On the other hand, I love the processing in Black and White and my inspiration comes more from the cinema than photography itself. Movies like "Citizen Kane," "Psycho" and "The Exterminating Angel" left me clear that it is not necessarily the color that gives beauty to the image, but the harmonic distribution of the elements involved in it.

I do not have as much time as I would like to dedicate to my photos, but I do I enjoy it tremendously. I still have much to learn, to see, to walk and so many ideas that I would like to implement, that I could not visualize a part of my life without photography.
