Streets of Havana by Patrick Ems

Influenced by a multitude of artists and philosophical ideas, Patrick Ems's style of photography gained focus and clarity. By reducing the content down to a certain point, he's started developing an intense fascination for simplicity. The point, where the true essence of an image appears, awaking deep feelings and thoughts.

Streets of Havana project is going around my mind for a many years. I finally got the chance to realize this long-desired street photography project in early 2015, walking around Cuba's capital capturing its unique feeling, a mixture of tropical savoir-vivre and political isolation. Pursued by uncertainty, excitement and envy, every moment revealed new insights and emotions, slowly but constantly followed by a deep fascination.

Let the world change you and you can change the world.
